Born in Seoul, I grew up speaking Korean, Japanese, and English in a Canadian family. Half of my career has been in the research world since college. Now with more than 10 years of experience, I have been providing research-grade tech pipeline solutions in the private sector.

These are some of the projects I can show publicly that I have worked on over the years.

Intelligence Factory (Exsell)

With collaboration of the web app team and professional services team, I directed and made majority of the contributions to data engineering pipelines, wrote 13 out of 16 analytical/predictive models (oversaw 16/16), built-up and supported dev ops pipelines. It is altogether "Marketing and Sales Intelligence Factory" as flagship package of Exsell.

Customer Intelligence with R

Authored a book on getting insights and modelling CRM/BI data. I have lectured, coached, and provided consulting on customer intelligence through this book.

NORC tutorial for NSHAP (R) (Stata)

While providing all the modeling in research projects, I was also tasked with training all the academic researchers and graduate research assistants on R and Stata. So I wrote these tutorial books to go along with my mentorships and trainings.

Spreadsheet to HTML Table Converter

Copy pasting Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel online to other platforms can be a hassle for my web dev colleagues, so I developed this tool that makes coding web app much easier with just a quick copy/paste.

(Mouse) Debounce Guard

Many computer mouse products have double-click problems, where the user intended a single-click, but unintentionally double clicks due to various reasons. To save company resources, I wrote this application in Rust (link as Windows app demo) to prevent the unintentional double clicks. It can be installed into compatible mice' hardware, but typically running in the background of the computer.

Dinerate

This dashboard helps user find under-popular restaurants. The under-popularity is determined by aggregating all the reviews across platforms with my own algorithm.

Wireshark TFTP Info Extractor

OpenWRT compatible routers generally attempt TFTP when booting for recovery purposes. However, at a big company with different routers with their own protocols and sometimes lacking documentation, it may be time consuming to analyze Wireshark logs. So I created this tool to parse the network packet capture logs to extract the TFTP info.

I created a real-time strategy, trigger-based bot to compete against other bots in C++ as a hobby project.
